Shop London

With world class department stores and boutiques in Chelsea and Kensington, shopping during your stay at Hotel Xenia is an opportunity that is not to be missed.

Whether you are looking to shop ‘til you drop or are just looking… London has the very best in designer shops, high-street and fast-fashion as well as pop-up, artisan producers and stalls hidden in beautiful arcades and at street-side markets, for you to discover.

Ideally located in the heart of Kensington, shopping addicts at Hotel Xenia can find some of the world’s best-known destinations within quick and easy access including Harrods, the Kings Road, Knightsbridge, Oxford Circus and Covent Garden. Surround yourself with luxury, glitz and glamour in the hallowed streets of London.

Serving wines by the glass, grazing lunches and Aperitivos daily, La Terrazza is the perfect Italian Restaurant to retreat once you’ve hit the shops!

Covent Garden

London’s favourite piazza and tourist hotspot, Covent garden is bursting with shops, bars and cafes for travellers and tourists to revel in. Street performers and artists add to the busy and bustling shopping spot, home to the Apple Store and a great choice for Christmas shopping or a family meander.

Be careful not to take the steps when heading back down to the tube when heading back to Kensington, shopping bags adorning each arm- the spiral staircase of 193 steps at the underground station may be quite a challenge!

Kensington and Chelsea

Cruise the Kings Road and shop the small and luxurious boutiques of Chelsea before heading down to the Duke of York Square on Sloane Street and sample the delights of the Sunday market or pop in to Partridges for a superior supermarket experience.

For those spending an afternoon at Kensington Palace or Kensington Gardens, High Street Kensington is a great spot to experience some of West London’s favourite shops and is a lovely neighbourhood for lunch before heading down to Knightsbridge to admire the haute couture stores and wander through the beautiful, tall buildings of SW1X.

Knightsbridge

Through the heart of Knightsbridge runs Brompton Road which plays host to some of the most fabulous haute couture stores and luxury shops in London including ‘the big green shop’, Harrods. If you are looking to spend a pretty penny on designer goods and luxe fashion, head to Knightsbridge for an incredible shopping experience.

Notting Hill and Portobello Road

With it’s cool, fashionable pop-ups and shops Notting Hill is one of London’s most iconic neighbourhoods. Home to the famous annual Notting Hill Carnival celebrating Caribbean culture and heritage. A day spent in Notting Hill makes for a fun and exciting way to soak up the London vibe. Full of great restaurants and gin bars it’s easy to get carried away and let the afternoon run into the evening here!

If you are heading to Portobello on Saturday you will catch the Portobello Road Market, the vibrant market stalls line the street selling vintage clothing and antiques for collectors and browsers alike.

Oxord Street

For a more iconic street of shops head to Oxford Circus, one of the most famous shopping streets in London. Not too far from Kensington, shopping here is what all shopaholics dream of. Home to hundreds of high street stores and selfie spots, this busy bustling circus is filled with big brands and flagship stores and well as Selfridges, the spectacular department store loved by Londoners and shoppers the world over.

Regent Street

For all the hustle and bustle of Kensington, shopping doesn’t have to be stressful. For some retail therapy (and slightly less crowded streets than Oxford Circus) head out to Selfridges and shop vintage goods, luxury watches and jewellery, marvel the wonderful toys at Hamleys, the largest toy shop in the world or head to Liberty’s to buy a special gift or souvenir.

Fashionistas can visit the supersize Topshop flagship store or home of the quintessential London chequers, Burberry- probably the most technologically advanced boutique with interactive mirrors!

Westfield

If shopping malls are more your thing or if you are looking to dodge the rain then head to Westfield at White City, the largest indoor shopping centre in Europe. Spanning over the equivalent of over 30 football pitches you are sure to find what you are looking for at Westfield. Compared to Kensington, shopping here is all about the variety – you’ll find anything and everything here! The centre includes a food hall, cinema and indoor ice rink in the winter months.
